Factors Influencing Accuracy Of Precision Castings

Under normal circumstances, precision casting precision casting structure, castings material, tooling, making, baking, pouring multiple factors, any one link set, unreasonable actions will make casting shrinkage change, resulting in the dimension precision and requires a deviation. Here are factors contributing to the dimensional accuracy of precision castings defects:

(1) effect of cast structure: a. Casting wall thickness, shrinkage, casting thin wall shrinkage. B ... free contraction rate and prevent shrinkage.

(2) effect of casting materials: a. The higher carbon content in the material, smaller linear shrinkage, lower carbon content, linear contraction rate increases. B ... common casting shrinkage of the material as follows: casting shrinkage of K= (LM-LJ)/LJx100%, LM for cavity dimensions, LJ for the dimension. K under the influence of the following factors: wax K1, cast iron structure K2 pouring temperature, alloy type K3, K4.

(3) the effects of mold on linear shrinkage of castings: a. wax-wax injection temperature, injection pressure and holding time on the investment size of most obvious influence with wax injection temperature, followed by wax injection pressure holding time in ensuring investment impact on the investment the final size after forming is very small. (5)-shell roasting effect: because the shell expansion coefficient, when Shell temperature 1150 ℃, only 0.053%, and therefore negligible.

(6) the influence of casting temperature: the higher the pouring temperature, greater shrinkage, low pouring temperature, shrinkage is smaller, the pouring temperature should be appropriate.
